NTEDi Announces 2026 Book Scholarship Awards Celebration: ‘The Power of Potential: Celebrating Student Achievement’

Tulsa, OK – The North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative (NTEDi) is pleased to announce its 2026 Book Scholarship Awards Celebration , themed “The Power of Potential: Celebrating Student Achievement.” This year’s celebration will take place during the regularly scheduled NTEDi Monthly Meeting on June 8, 2026 , from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

This marks the fourteenth annual recognition of scholars and reaffirms NTEDi’s dedication to supporting students with scholarship initiatives, while fostering meaningful community engagement.

The evening will begin with NTEDi business, followed by opening remarks, followed by a performance from the Leon Rollerson Production.

Attendees will also hear from up to six scholarship recipients , who will share their personal stories or aspirations, highlighting the importance of community support in their academic journeys.

NTEDi President Dr. Lana Turner-Addison expressed her enthusiasm for the event, noting, “Education unlocks potential, and this event provides scholarships as well as encouragement for students. Collectively, we aim to foster a brighter future.”

The 2026 Book Scholarship Celebration will also serve as a platform to raise funds for future scholarships, reinforcing NTEDi’s ongoing commitment to supporting education in the North Tulsa community.

Eligibility: Seniors who attend schools in North Tulsa or who reside in North Tulsa are eligible to submit an application for consideration for the scholarship awards.

Application Due Date: May 15, 2026 Notification of Award: 5/22/2026
Award Celebration: June 8, 2026 at OSU – Tulsa
Scholarship Amount: $750

development, including the transfer of property, financing, or the creation of a proposal to entice a
business to remain or to locate within the North Tulsa area, where public disclosure of the matter
discussed would interfere with the development of products or services or would violate the
confidentiality of the business, pursuant to Title 25, Section 307(C)(10) of the Oklahoma Statutes.
