NTEDi Educational Forum ‘Building Resilient Communities’ Scheduled for November 16
TULSA, Okla. – The North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative (NTEDi) will be hosting an educational forum entitled “Building Resilient Communities” on Nov. 16, 2024, at OSU-Tulsa, 700 N. Greenwood Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is crucial for Tulsa-area public schools, community stakeholders and anyone invested in shaping the future of our educational landscape. The event is free to attendees whoregister in advance.
The forum will include keynote speaker Dr. Ebony Johnson, Superintendent of Tulsa Public Schools, and remarks from Adam Andreassen, PsyD, President/CEO of Family & Children’s Services. Other featured panelists include:
- Cynthia Soto-Render, M.S., CPE – Founder and Principal Consultant, Restorative Mindset LLC
- Dr. Phillip Lewis, Ph.D., CRC, LADC-C– Associate Professor and Coordinator, Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies, Langston University
- Milton Dean III – Educator and Long-time Math Instructor
- Lakena Whitley – STEM/Robotics Curriculum Development Specialist and Former Program Coordinator, KIPP Tulsa, OKC Thunder Fellows
- Whitney C. Downie, LCSW, ACSW – Chief Strategy Officer for Children’s Mental Health and Family Support, Family & Children’s Services
- Deanna Braggs, Deanna has 27 years of experience in education, holding master’s degrees in education and Special Education. Currently teaching at the Tulsa Transition Academy, she views teaching as a calling, inspired by her son with autism.
